ABOUT DAN WON

As a UX designer with a background in painting and language teaching, I bring a unique blend of creativity, empathy, and communication to every project. My experience as a painter sharpens my visual intuition, helping me craft interfaces that are not only functional but also aesthetically engaging. Painting has taught me to pay attention to composition, color theory, and emotional resonance—skills that directly translate into creating intuitive and visually appealing user experiences.

I have also worked professionally as a language teacher for many years (ESOL), which has honed my ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and adapt to different learning styles, which mirrors the core UX principle of designing for diverse users. Teaching has also deepened my sense of empathy, enabling me to anticipate user needs and craft solutions that truly resonate. Together, these disciplines fuel a UX approach that is both artistically inspired and deeply human-centered.
